Emergency towing in Atlanta. One call. Any hour.
When your engine quits on the Downtown Connector at rush hour or a tire blows on Buford Highway at 2 a.m., you want one number that takes the call any hour. The Quick Tow Atlanta line takes calls 24/7, and we line up a local tow operator across the city and the surrounding Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett and Clayton county communities.
What's included in emergency towing?
- Line takes calls 24 hours, 7 days, including downtown event nights and the rare ice days that shut the metro down
- Operators running flatbed and wheel-lift trucks across the metro
- Operators who can reach the Downtown Connector, I-285, I-75, I-85, I-20, GA-400, Spaghetti Junction, I-575 or I-675 when that corridor is the pickup
- Post-collision paperwork the assigned operator can actually complete; a shop or storage drop is quoted separately
- Recovery during a rare ice event, when abandoned cars pile up on I-285 and the Connector the way they did in the 2014 gridlock
- Standard, mid-size, and heavy-duty work when the assigned operator has the right rig
- One local line for the whole metro, with a local operator on the job
- Overnight calls when an operator is available, including freight corridors named on the call
When do you need emergency towing?
- Vehicle won't start and you're stranded
- Flat tire you can't safely change on the shoulder
- Engine overheats in stopped traffic on the Downtown Connector or I-285
- Accident or collision requiring vehicle removal
- Ran out of fuel in an unsafe location
- Locked out overnight and need transport home
- Your car was recovered by police after a theft and you need it picked up
- Driving under the influence - safe ride for you and the car
What do drivers ask about emergency towing?
How much does an emergency tow cost in Atlanta?
Every emergency tow is quoted before an operator rolls, based on distance and vehicle size, so you hear the total before you say yes. Heavy-duty and long-distance jobs get a separate written quote.
How fast can you get to me?
It depends on where you are and which operator is free, so nobody can honestly quote an arrival time before they know both. Ask the operator for a window when they take the job.
What happens if I break down at Spaghetti Junction or another tricky spot?
Spaghetti Junction is the Tom Moreland Interchange, where I-285 and I-85 stack up on the northeast side, and it catches out-of-town drivers off guard every day of the week. GDOT runs the Highway Emergency Response Operators on the metro interstates, the crews everyone calls HERO units, and they're often first on scene at a disabled vehicle. What they do is clear the hazard and restore traffic flow, not repair your car and not tow it. Stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on and hazards flashing, and call us for the tow itself.
Will you come to the Downtown Connector, I-285, GA-400, I-20 or I-75?
The assigned operator confirms whether they can reach your corridor. That includes the Downtown Connector through the core, I-285 all the way around the Perimeter, GA-400 north through Sandy Springs, I-85 northeast toward Gwinnett, I-75 north to Marietta and south into Henry County, I-20 east and west, I-575 and I-675. If police are already on scene, the officer decides who tows and where it goes. Inside the city that means an Atlanta police zone contractor's lot; in a county it means that county's own impound, which is a different lot with a different fee.
Do you accept insurance or motor club dispatches?
If you have roadside coverage, call your insurer or motor club first and ask whether they'll dispatch or reimburse. Quick Tow Atlanta doesn't have a confirmed affiliation with AAA, Allstate, Geico, USAA, State Farm, or any other club. If you need help direct, call us and the operator quotes the job before dispatch.
